Ruff Cuffs is a concept brand for a product still in the prototyping phase of development. The product is a pair of wheelchair gloves or ‘cuffs’ specifically designed for active wheelchair users to empower them as they proceed through everyday life with a disability.
The glove is being designed from the ground up to promote hand health and also to protect clothing. Design elements carry purpose enabling people in high-level businesses to maintain a formal business look without ruining clothing. The protective elements are also replaceable giving the design more longevity and thus impacting the cost over a period of time.
The Ruff Cuffs brand needed to reflect an ‘extreme’ style, be sharp and work well across a number of clothing items for merchandising purposes. Ruff Cuffs will not only be a product but an ‘extreme’ sports lifestyle brand.
